Abstract
The United States is a superpower that is respected in the international arena. When we talk about residents of the United States, what often comes to mind is the white population. However, what we have to underline, in this case is not only white people who color the social life of this superpower country, but also black people who contribute. Due to very contractual social differences, social discrimination is also experienced by black ethnicity in the United States. And one of the cases that shocked the world was the case of the death of George Floyd. In this study the authors used a qualitative research method with data sourced from trusted journals, books and internet sites and by identifying phenomena or events that occurred. This study aims to find out why discrimination against black ethnicity still exists today.
