Peran Perempuan sebagai Pencari Nafkah
Abstract
Women who serve as the primary breadwinners in their households face complex challenges related to the double burden they carry and the gender inequalities embedded within social structures. This article aims to analyze how Islamic law views and responds to the phenomenon of women as the economic backbone of their families, particularly in the context of gender justice. Using a narrative qualitative approach, this study explores the lived experiences of women bearing dual responsibilities and frames them within the perspectives of fiqh al-munakahat and maqashid al-sharia. The findings indicate that, in principle, Islamic law does not reject women’s economic contributions; however, its implementation often clashes with prevailing social norms and patriarchal interpretations that do not always align with the core values of justice in Islam.
