Digitalisasi Ekonomi dan Perubahan Pola Konsumsi Gen Z di Kalangan Mahasiswa
Abstract
Economic digitalization has transformed the landscape of consumer behavior, particularly among Generation Z (Gen Z), who are considered digital natives. This study aims to analyze the impact of economic digitalization on the changing consumption patterns of Gen Z university students. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation of students at several universities in Indonesia. The findings reveal that economic digitalization influences Gen Z's consumption patterns through easier access to information, increased online transactions, and the influence of social media. This phenomenon also gives rise to consumerist behavior driven by emotional, social, and technological factors. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of Gen Z’s consumption dynamics and its implications for digital economic policy and financial literacy education
