Archiving Policy

Nusa Journal of Community Service recognizes the importance of ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of all published articles. To protect scholarly works from potential permanent loss, the journal implements several archiving strategies.

Archiving Strategies

  • Self-Archiving
The journal permits and encourages authors to archive their pre-print, post-print, and publisher’s versions of articles in institutional or subject-based repositories.
This ensures that authors can maintain continued access to their research, even if there are future changes to the journal.

  • Long-Term Archiving Networks

    • PKP Preservation Network (PN): All published articles are automatically archived within the PKP Preservation Network, providing a decentralized and secure backup system against risks such as hardware failures, cyber-attacks, or natural disasters.

    • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): The journal also utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archive among participating libraries, ensuring permanent accessibility of digital content.

  • Institutional Repository
Every published article will be deposited in the institutional repository managed by the journal’s affiliated institution. This policy guarantees that a secure and accessible backup copy is available for the academic community.

Through these combined strategies, Nusa Journal of Community Service is committed to ensuring that valuable scholarly contributions remain preserved, accessible, and protected for future generations.
