Screening for Plagiarism

To uphold the integrity, originality, and credibility of every article published in Nusa Journal of Community Service, all submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening process. This step is an essential part of our publication ethics.

Procedure and Policy

  • Software Use: Every manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening will be checked using trusted plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or similar tools.

  • Threshold: The journal applies a maximum similarity tolerance of 25%. Manuscripts with similarity levels exceeding this threshold will be desk-rejected without entering the peer review process. Exceptions may be considered for manuscripts with similarity between 15–25%, if overlaps are confined to references, institutional names, or common technical terms.

  • Screening Results: The results of the plagiarism check are a key factor in the editor’s decision to either proceed with peer review or reject the submission.

  • Author’s Responsibility: Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and plagiarism-free. Proper citations must be provided for every source, idea, data, or quotation derived from other works.

This policy is implemented to maintain high academic standards and guarantee that only authentic and ethical scholarly contributions are published in Nusa Journal of Community Service.
