Copyright and Permissions

Nusa Journal of Community Service is an open-access journal that publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This policy carries important implications regarding copyright ownership and permissions for material usage.

Copyright Retention by Authors

Although articles are published in an open-access format, the copyright of the manuscript remains with the author(s). Authors grant Nusa Journal of Community Service the right of first publication to publish the article in the journal. This ensures that authors remain the rightful owners of their intellectual work.

Creative Commons License (CC BY-SA 4.0)

Under this license, everyone is free to:

  • Reuse: Copy, reproduce, and print the articles for any lawful purpose.

  • Distribute: Share copies of the articles, either in whole or in part.

  • Adapt: Create derivative works or adaptations from the articles.

However, these freedoms are subject to the following conditions:

  • Attribution: Proper credit must be given to the original author(s), the article title, and Nusa Journal of Community Service.

  • ShareAlike: Any derivative works must be distributed under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0) or an equivalent license.

Copyright Agreement

By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) affirm that:

  1. The manuscript is their original work.

  2. The manuscript does not infringe upon the copyright of any third party.

  3. The author(s) have read, understood, and agreed to the journal’s copyright and licensing policy.

Upon acceptance for publication, author(s) are required to complete and sign a Copyright Agreement Form provided by the editorial team. This form serves as an official agreement between the author(s) and the journal regarding copyright and licensing.

This policy ensures that published works are widely accessible and reusable, while also safeguarding the intellectual property rights of authors.
