Archiving Policy

Pandai: Education Journal understands the importance of ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of its published articles. Therefore, we implement several archiving policies to protect scholarly works from permanent loss.

Archiving Strategies

  1. Self-Archiving:
    • The journal permits and encourages authors to archive their pre-print, post-print, and publisher's versions of articles in institutional or subject-based repositories.
    • This allows authors to ensure continued access to their research, even if there are future changes to the journal.
  2. Long-Term Archiving Networks:
    • PKP Preservation Network (PN): All published articles will be automatically archived in the PKP Preservation Network (PN). This network provides a decentralized archiving service that protects the journal's content from loss due to hardware failure, cyber-attacks, or natural disasters.
    • LOCKSS: The journal also utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to create a distributed archive among participating libraries. This network ensures that the digital archive remains permanently accessible.
  3. Institutional Repository:
    • Every published article will be deposited in the institutional repository managed by the journal's affiliated institution. This ensures a secure and accessible backup copy for the academic community.

Through this combination of strategies, Pandai: Education Journal is committed to guaranteeing that valuable scholarly knowledge remains accessible and protected for future generations.
