Screening for Plagiarism

To ensure the integrity and originality of every published article, Pandai: Education Journal conducts a plagiarism check on every submitted manuscript. This process is a crucial part of our publication ethics.

Procedure and Policy

  1. Software Use: Every manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening will be checked using a leading plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or a similar program.
  2. Threshold: Our journal sets a tolerance threshold for text similarity. Manuscripts with a total similarity percentage of more than 25% will be desk-rejected immediately, without undergoing the peer review process. Editors may make an exception for manuscripts with a similarity percentage between 15-25% if the similarities are limited to sections such as the bibliography, institutional names, or common technical terms.
  3. Screening Results: The results of the plagiarism check will be a primary consideration for the editor in making an initial decision on whether the manuscript will be processed further or rejected.
  4. Author's Responsibility: Authors hold full responsibility for ensuring their manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism. Authors must always include proper citations for every idea, data, or quotation taken from others' work.

This policy aims to maintain high academic standards and ensure that only original and ethical research is published in our journal.
